Day 2: The Arch and Kemoll's

What a splendid day! I think today had 2 signs that we were entering the West: the Gateway Arch and the need for "Splenda" for our iced tea served at dinner. After checking into our hotel, we marched our way to the Gateway Arch to explore the underground entrance and museum, see a video on the construction of the arch, and finally to go up in the trams. While part of the Crew looked up the trams on YouTube, most of the Crew was pleasantly surprised at the 4 minute ascent to the top of the Gateway Arch. As you can tell by the picture above, the tram had right quarters!

After a few pictures outside the arch, the Crew maneuvered their way back to the hotel for a quick change to our dinner at Kemoll's fine dining. Our meal consisted of a salad, chicken topped with a tart green peppercorn sauce and basil penne, and concluding with chocolate cake. The Crew enjoyed our magnificent view of the arch and downtown St. Louis on the 40th floor. The Crew went straight to their rooms and will need their sleep, as an early wake up alludes us all in the morning. Signing off GWT!
