Perhaps piggy-backing from an old cliche, today's motto can be "How the West was fun!" As we drove through the prairies of Kansas and then crossed the border to the "Colorful Colorado", the Crew wondered where the Rocky Mountains were. Closing in on Colorado Springs sparked their interest and their eyes as not only the Rocky Mountains were in sight but a snow-capped Pike's Peak.
We made out way to the United States Air Force Academy, the students were in awe of the campus, especially the Chapel. The architecture of the chapel is like none other. Couple that with the beautiful coloration and placement below a mountain gives way to a Visa slogan: priceless. After we went to the gift shop, we left and checked in to our hotel. The Crew experienced some of their first free time before eating at the German restaurant Eidelweiss. From the picture above, you can see the food was delicious! What a great day and we can finally say that we have made it out West. Signing off GWT.
