Our day started at something like 5:00am (hang with me because it's been a long day). At breakfast at Hardee's and a lunch at a food court capped our first part of the day. You may or may not believe it but most of The Crew chose to eat Chick-a-Fila. So much for Cajun food in Louisiana.
After arriving and checking in to our hotel in New Orleans, we walked to Bourbon Street with 50 some teenagers. You may have a question after this past statement and I have two responses that will probably satisfy all of your questions: it has been done multiple times before and everybody was safe, all the time! At dinner we had a great Cajun meal and then celebrated with karaoke. The Crew took extensive pictures and loved every last minute they could spend with the people they have been with for 32 days.
We walked down Bourbon Street more and then to the Riverfront. After The Crew spent another hour enjoying each other's company, we marched back to the hotel. They received their instructions after midnight and were prepared for a 3:45am departure. I think I will have one more post for this years Grand Western Tour but if not, I'm signing off for the last time this year. It's been a pleasure and joy to chronicle our journeys via the blog. Hopefully you have felt part of some of the wonderful places and people we have met. We have been a family for over a month and tomorrow, this family will part ways (at least for the time being). Signing off GWT!
